detox symptoms
bookdevotee asked:

This is my first time doing the master cleanse. I am on day 7, and previously was not suffering any symptoms. I woke up today with EXTREME congestion (similar to bronchitis) in my lungs. The congestion was also accompanied by a severe cough, headache, and mild fever (100-101). Should the symptoms of detox include fever? I am following the steps exact including those for proper elimination. Should I discontinue the cleanse or are these simply symptoms of detoxification? Also would it be ok to include herbal remedies such as echinachea? Thank you!

It is detoxification. Don’t try to cure it. See site below where an MD says you should welcome these symptoms. Many complain about getting a cold during master cleanse lemonade diet. Site below has quotes from 17 MDs about fasting since many are scared of it.

Detoxification flare ups can occur in many guises. Inflamation, nausea, mucous discharge, headaches, muscle pain, fever etc. However I have never tried the “Master Cleanse” and don’t know of it’s methods and therefore can’t determine if what you’re experiencing is in fact a detox flare-up.

Castor oil packs are excellent to move congestion. Email me if you’d like info how to make one.
