detox symptoms
Natasha asked:

I began my raw fooding adventure about a month ago, and last night had my first detox bath. I woke up with an extreme headache, that seems to flucuate. Also last night I was very tired. Last night and today, every once in a while I feel like I am going to through up, and have been very dizzY. The bath was Epsom salt, baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, eucalyptis oil, ginger, and some boiled down lavender, sage, and rosemary.
Really the only “chemical” was the hydrogen peroxide. The rest were either herbs or minerals. Silly boy.

I can see that such a bath could bring on a headache and maybe it could effect your sinus. That’s quite a cocktail of chemicals. Or perhaps you have an allergy. Really, the people who promote this nonsense have no idea of what they are doing.

By the way, “detox” is baloney. From Wiki:
“Certain approaches in alternative medicine claim to remove toxins from the body through herbal, electrical or electromagnetic treatments (such as the Aqua Detox treatment). These toxins are undefined and have no scientific basis, making the validity of such techniques questionable. There is no evidence for toxic accumulation in these cases, as the liver and kidneys automatically detoxify and excrete many toxic materials including metabolic wastes. Under this theory if toxins are too rapidly released without being safely eliminated (such as burning fat that stores toxins) they can damage the body and cause malaise.”

It is normal. Make sure you keep drinking a lot of water and add a probiotic to flush out all of those toxins in the body. Its seems to get worse before you feel better. Also make sure you are taking a good Multi, B Complex and extra calcium. Those should help with the fatigue. Hope this helps!
